Western Dry Rocks

Western Dry Rocks – Western Dry Rocks, located to the west of Sand Key following the south edge of the reef, is not preserve and is open for fishing and spear fishing. What a difference that makes. You will see less of the larger game fish on this reef and the ones you will see tend to be spookier and will usually run from humans. On trips to this reef in August we saw the usual smaller reef fish and more pelagic species such as cero mackerel and bar jacks.
