Boyd’s Key West Campground

Boyd’s Key West Campground is the best deal in town for those on a budget on vacation in Key West. It’s located just outside the city of Key West, at about Mile Marker 5. In case your were wondering, Key West is four miles long, so Mile Marker 4 is Key West. You’re just one mile from Key West. You can ride your bicycle to everything in Key West from Boyd’s, which is on Stock Island. There’s a wide sidewalk, a nice crosswalk over Highway One, and wide sidewalks all around Key West. You could even walk, if you wanted, or catch a public bus from Stock Island. It’s so convenient.

Boyd’s calls itself the Southernmost campground, and since there aren’t any campground on the actual island of Key West, this may be it. Boyd’s is your full-service campground, which means it accommodates the behemoth RVs as well as tent people. They’ve got water, electric, TV, sewer, boat slips, room for boat on trailer, and the pricing is a la carte, so the rate schedule is complex. You can rent by the day, by the week, or by the month. There’s in-season and off-season rates. There are waterfront rates and inland rates.

Boyd’s Campground is full service in many ways: their grounds resemble a small village, complete with Marina, picnic pavillion, multiple bath houses, laundry center, gift store, mini mart, dishwashing stations, and even ATM. There’s even city bus service right there, too.

They have modern perks like wireless internet and modem data port. There’s 24-hour security, a game room, a beach (although you wouldn’t want to swim there), heated swimming pool, big screen tv for guests in a Tiki Hut by the pool, and they sell LP gas right on the grounds. Bring your boat, your kids, your relatives, your bathing suit, and you’re all ready for a jaunt to Key West and a stay at Boyd’s Key West Campground.
